Cheney in Michigan USA (wgvu) - MARSHALL, Mich. (AP) - Vice President Dick Cheney is coming to
Michigan to attend a private fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg,
a Republican from Tipton.
The event is planned for March 7 at a home in Marshall.
Calhoun County GOP Chairman Scott Durham says Cheney's visit
will help highlight local issues.
Cheney press secretary Megan Mitchell tells the Battle Creek
Enquirer that the vice president has been campaigning this year on
behalf of several Republicans in the House and Senate.
Walberg's Democratic opponent will be either state Sen. Mark
Schauer of Bedford Township or Munith resident Sharon Renier.
