U.P. Roads
(wgvu) - ESCANABA, Mich. (AP) - Keeping roads driveable in Upper
Michigan's Delta County this winter may leave them a little bumpier
this summer.
The county Road Commission has spent 800,000 dollars on winter
maintenance for primary and local roads so far this winter. That
compares with 715,000 dollars for all of last winter.
Commission manager Roger VanDrese says the amount being spent on
winter maintenance will leave less money available for summer
construction, especially on local roads.
