Where's the Bad Beef?
(wgvu) - At least six Michigan school
districts have inventories of meat from the largest beef recall
ever in the U.S.
The recall grows out of an animal abuse investigation at a
California slaughterhouse.
At least six Michigan districts say they've stopped using
products from Westland/Hallmark Meat following Sunday's federally
ordered recall.
The Grand Rapids school district is throwing out 20,000 pounds
of hamburger, while the Ann Arbor schools have about 200 pounds of
quarantined beef.
The Portage and West Ottawa school districts in western Michigan
and the Lansing and St. Johns districts in central Michigan say
they also got meat from the California supplier.
