Four Year Old Saves Mom with 911 Call
(2008-02-06)
(wgvu) - ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 4-year-old Grand
Rapids-area boy's 911 call saved his mother's life after she passed
out from a diabetic coma.
The Grand Rapids Press reports Karri Makepeace collapsed to the
floor Jan. 30 in her home in Kent County's Alpine Township.
Collin Makepeace called 911 and remained on the line with a
dispatcher who verified the address.
WOOD-TV reports the boy told his mother help was on the way and
held the telephone to her mouth so dispatchers could hear her
breathing.
Karri Makepeace has been released from the hospital.
