Old Sexual Assaults MICHIGAN (wgvu) - An imprisoned murderer who linked a friend to the
unsolved Oakland County Child Killer case is guilty of molesting a
Detroit boy decades ago.
The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press says a Wayne County jury
Tuesday convicted 61-year-old Richard Lawson of first-degree
criminal sexual conduct, a possible life felony.
Sentencing is February 21. Lawson's serving life for a 1989
Livonia murder.
Authorities say Lawson and Ted Lamborgine lured children with
food, money and drugs in Detroit in the 1970s and 1980s. Lawson
says he had immunity as a police informant.
Lawson implicated Lamborgine in four Oakland County child
killings in 1976 and 1977. Lamborgine is serving life for child
molesting and denies being the killer.
