MSU Recycling
(2008-01-18)
(wgvu) - Michigan State University has
approved building a new recycling center on campus.
The school also plans to start a comprehensive recycling
program.
About 14 percent of the university's waste is being recycled
currently. The Lansing State Journal says the goal is to recycle 28
percent of the waste.
The changes would save about 3,400 tons of trash a year from
going to landfills.
Michigan State's board of trustees approved the $13.3 million
facility on Friday. It's expected to come online in July 2009.
