FORMER MASSACHUSETTS GOVERNOR MITT
ROMNEY SCORED HIS FIRST MAJOR VICTORY IN MICHIGAN. HE TOLD THE
ASSOCIATED PRESS THAT HIS PRIMARY WIN IS "A VICTORY OF OPTIMISM
OVER WASHINGTON-STYLE PESSIMISM."
ROMNEY SAYS HE'S PLEASED WITH WINNING HIS NATIVE STATE, NOW IT'S
ON TO SOUTH CAROLINA, NEVADA AND FLORIDA.
ROMNEY AND HIS STAFF WERE MOST PLEASED WITH EXIT POLLS SHOWING
HIS BIG ADVANTAGE AMONG REPUBLICANS IN MICHIGAN.
ROMNEY IS HEADED TO SOUTH CAROLINA WEDNESDAY FOR A
DAY-AND-A-HALF OF CAMPAIGNING, BEFORE DECAMPING TO NEVADA. BOTH
STATES VOTE ON SATURDAY.
