Weather Channel ranks U.P. sixth on top 10 list USA (wgvu) - UNDATED (AP) - The Weather Channel is ranking Michigan's Upper
Peninsula sixth on its top 10 list of winter family getaways.
WLUC-TV reports the area's picturesque scenery, and skiing and
other cold weather recreation are behind the ranking.
A representative of the Marquette Country Convention and
Visitors Bureau tells WLUC-TV the publicity will help advertise the
area.
The Weather Channel ranks Methow Valley, Wash., as its top
winter family getaway.
