(wgvu) - LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Richard
Bandstra says he plans to run for re-election this year.
The 57-year-old Bandstra was a state House member from Grand
Rapids for 10 years before winning his first court of appeals
election in 1994. He served as chief judge of the appeals court
from 1999 through 2001. He's running for a six-year term.
Bandstra serves on the 3rd District Court of Appeals, which
covers Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Cass, Eaton, Ionia, Jackson
and Kalamazoo counties. The district also includes the counties of
Kent, Muskegon, Newaygo, Ottawa, St. Joseph, Van Buren and
