Deadly Crash
(wgvu) - TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - A Michigan man faces charges in a head-on
crash that killed five members of a family heading home to Maryland
after a holiday visit to the Detroit area.
Michael Gagnon of Adrian has been charged with aggravated
vehicular homicide.
Authorities say 36-year-old Bethany Griffin, and her children,
10-year-old Jordan, and 6-month-old Verde were killed in last
night's crash on Interstate 280 in Toledo, Ohio.
Authorities also say 7-year-old Lacie Burkman and 10-year-old
Haley Burkman also died. The four children were siblings.
They were among eight people in a minivan that collided with a
pickup going the wrong way. Three other passengers in the minivan
suffered serious or critical injuries.
A police report says tests showed the 24-year-old Gagnon had a
blood-alcohol level more than three times Ohio's legal limit.
