for lobbyists or special-interest groups.
The Republican presidential candidate from Arizona made the
remark today in Detroit to reporters who asked him about a story in
the Drudge Report.
The online site says McCain's aides and advisers have been
trying to dissuade The New York Times from publishing a story that
says McCain has shown some legislative favoritism.
McCain says his campaign has had talks with the newspaper
regarding its inquiries but adds that he's never done any favors in
his 24 years in Congress.
