GOP presidential debate at Detroit auto show won't happen
debate next month at the Detroit auto show after all.
Efforts have fallen through to host such an event in conjunction
with the North American International Auto Show.
Michigan GOP Chairman Saul Anuzis (ah-NOO'-zis) says he was
trying to arrange for the debate to be held on January 13th.
The state's presidential primary will be on January 15th -- just
a week after the New Hampshire primary.
Anuzis wanted the debate to showcase Michigan's auto industry.
Participants would have been limited to the top three Republican
finishers in the New Hampshire primary and January third Iowa
caucuses.
