Jury finishes 2nd day of deliberating wife dismemberment-slaying
(wgvu) - MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (AP) - A jury in Mount Clemens has finished
a second day of deliberations in the case of a man accused of
killing and dismembering his wife.
The six men and six women have been deciding the fate of
37-year-old Stephen Grant.
He pleaded guilty December 7th to mutilating the corpse of
34-year-old Tara Grant.
That charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
Jurors deliberated for about 3 1/2 hours yesterday and about seven
hours today without agreeing on a verdict.
They're to resume deliberations at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
