POLICE SERGEANT-SEX STING

(wgvu) - A MACOMB COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT JURY
HAS ACQUITTED A STATE POLICE SERGEANT OF ALL 12 CHARGES BROUGHT
AGAINST HIM IN AN INTERNET STING.
AUTHORITIES HAD ACCUSED KENNETH MICHAEL HARDOIN OF HAVING A
GRAPHIC SEXUAL CONVERSATIONS ONLINE WITH INVESTIGATORS HE THOUGHT
WERE GIRLS AGES 13 AND 14. THEY ALSO SAID HE ASKED INVESTIGATORS
FOR THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO WATCH A SEXUALLY EXPLICIT ACT VIA WEB
CAMERA.
HARDOIN TESTIFIED THAT HIS CHATS WERE "FANTASIES" AND ROLE
PLAYING. HE SAID HE NEVER SOLICITED ANYONE TO MEET.
THE 45-YEAR-OLD FROM CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP WAS SUSPENDED WITHOUT
PAY AFTER HIS MARCH ARREST.
