Child Snowmobile Death
died after being thrown from the back of a snowmobile.
Police say Rae Cline died late Wednesday. They say the
snowmobile's driver was a teenage boy.
Police say the snowmobile struck a power pole guidewire after
dark along an open field. The impact threw both children.
The driver was not injured.
The Bay City Times says Rae was pronounced dead upon arriving at
St. Mary's Standish Community Hospital.
She was a second-grader at Whittemore-Prescott Elementary
School.
Services will be Sunday afternoon in Prescott.
Rae was from Richland Township. That's 130 miles north of
Detroit.
