(wgvu) - THE STATE HOUSE VOTES TO GIVE SOME MICHIGAN HOMEOWNERS SADDLED WITH RISING ADJUSTABLE
RATE MORTGAGES ACCESS TO LOWER, FIXED RATES.
THE LOANS WOULD BE MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE MICHIGAN STATE
HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
AT-RISK LOW AND MODERATE-INCOME RESIDENTS WOULD BE ELIGIBLE
DEPENDING ON THEIR CREDIT SCORES.
IT ALSO COULD HELP SOME BORROWERS WHO HAVE MISSED MORTGAGE
PAYMENTS.
GOVERNOR GRANHOLM BACKS THE BILLS, WHICH NOW GO TO THE SENATE.
