Gun At School

(wgvu) - BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - The Mecosta County prosecutor says
charges are being brought against a 12-year-old boy accused of
pointing a gun at a classmate to avoid fighting him.
The student at Crossroads Charter Academy in Big Rapids faces
felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a
concealed weapon on school property.
The boy is charged as a juvenile.
The Grand Rapids Press says the gun was not loaded, and the
student had no ammunition.
The student is from Baldwin and has been suspended. His case
will be transferred to family court in Lake County where the family
resides.
