Thanksgiving Dinner Feeds 2000 USA (wgvu) - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - About 2,000 needy people got a
Thanksgiving dinner in Grand Rapids, thanks to the efforts of Mel
Trotter Ministries.
Hundreds of volunteers helped serve up the meat at Devos Place.
It was the 11th year for the meal gathering.
Organizers say now's a good time to start thinking about caring
for the less fortunate during the Christmas season.
Earlier in the week, Mel Trotter Ministries passed out 750 boxed
meals for low income families.
