Michigan Primary Go Ahead USA (wgvu) - LANSING, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan Supreme Court has decided to
let the state's January 15th presidential primary go forward.
The decision keeps alive Michigan's bid to be one of the early
presidential contests.
The court decision should make it easier for New Hampshire's
secretary of state to schedule that state's primary, which New
Hampshire law requires to be the nation's first.
New Hampshire officials have been waiting to see what the
Michigan courts would do.
But Democrats also have kept open the possibility of picking
their presidential favorites through a party caucus, even if the
primary is held.
