Suspect in Restaurant Killings Dies in Crash USA (wgvu) - LENOX TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A man suspected of killing a cook
and wounding a waitress at a restaurant was killed when his
speeding car struck a farm combine during a police chase.
The victim of the early-morning crash in rural Macomb County has
been positively identified as Kastriot Mydini (CAST'-roh
my-DEE'-nee).
Police say the 36-year-old Mydini had been at large after the
shootings at a Coney Island restaurant in Lincoln Park, south of
Detroit.
They say he robbed two gas stations last night in Macomb
County's Lenox Township and Saint Clair County's East China
Township, northeast of Detroit. Police spotted Mydini's car and
chased him until he crashed shortly after midnight.
The combine driver was unhurt.
