(2007-11-07)
(wgvu) - MICHIGAN LAWMAKERS ARE CONTINUING THEIR
WORK TOWARD THE POSSIBLE REPEAL OF A SERVICES TAX AND OTHER CHANGES

SOME SERVICES THAT LAWMAKERS PASSED A LITTLE MORE THAN A MONTH AGO.
THE SENATE HAS SCHEDULED A HEARING ON THE SERVICES TAX FOR LATER

ALTERNATIVES.
A STATE HOUSE COMMITTEE HAS BEEN DEBATING SOME CHANGES TO THE
MICHIGAN BUSINESS TAX IN THE MORNING, SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO
INSURANCE COMPANIES. THE MICHIGAN BUSINESS TAX IS SCHEDULED TO TAKE
