Lansing Killings
has confessed to killing a Lansing Community College professor.
That's potentially good news for Claude McCollum, who was
convicted in the slaying.
McCollum was released on Tuesday while he awaits a new trial.
McCollum spent more than a year-and-a-half in prison in the
attack on 60-year-old Carolyn Kronenberg. The 30-year-old McCollum
says he never met the professor.
Now comes word that Matthew Macon has confessed to killing
Kronenberg.
Macon is suspected by police in a string of slayings dating to
2004. Officially, though, the 28-year-old prison parolee has been
charged in the death of one woman and with the assault of another.
