(2007-10-17)

IS ENTITLED TO BE RELEASED EARLY FROM PRISON AFTER ACCUMULATING
ABOUT 17 YEARS OF CREDIT FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR.
BUT MUSKEGON COUNTY CIRCUIT JUDGE HAS STAYED HIS OWN RELEASE
ORDER FOR 54-YEAR-OLD WAYNE LEE STEVENS TO ALLOW TIME FOR AN
APPEAL.
THE MUSKEGON CHRONICLE REPORTS THAT HICKS HAS ORDERED THE FORMER
WHITEHALL RESIDENT TO REMAIN IMPRISONED UNTIL OCT. 29.
COUNTY PROSECUTOR TONY TAGUE IS FIGHTING THE RELEASE.
