AN APPEARANCE BY ASSISTED-SUICIDE ADVOCATE JACK KEVORKIAN.
OFFICIALS SAY THE RETIRED MICHIGAN PATHOLOGIST WILL SPEAK
JANUARY 15TH INSTEAD OF OCTOBER 11TH DUE TO THE CONTROVERSY OVER
POLICE TASERING A STUDENT DURING A SPEECH BY SEN. JOHN KERRY.
SCHOOL OFFICIALS SAY THEY NEED MORE TIME TO ADDRESS SECURITY AND
EVENTS MANAGEMENT.
TWENTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD ANDREW MEYER WAS ARRESTED SEPTEMBER 17TH
AFTER HE REFUSED TO LEAVE THE MICROPHONE DURING A TOWN FORUM.
KEVORKIAN'S VISIT IS TO INCLUDE A PANEL DISCUSSION WITH
PROFESSORS ABOUT ASSISTED SUICIDE. THE 79-YEAR-OLD WAS RELEASED
JUNE 1ST FROM A MICHIGAN PRISON AFTER SERVING TIME FOR
SECOND-DEGREE MURDER.
