(wgvu) - A MEMBER OF THE MUSKEGON CITY COMMISSION
HAS DIED.
FIFTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD KEVIN DAVIS DIED SUNDAY AT UNIVERSITY OF
MICHIGAN MEDICAL CENTER IN ANN ARBOR.
HE WAS ADMITTED ABOUT A WEEK EARLIER TO HACKLEY HOSPITAL IN
MUSKEGON FOR KIDNEY FAILURE.
DAVIS UNDERWENT A HEART TRANSPLANT IN 1999.
HE WAS UP FOR RE-ELECTION THIS FALL TO A SECOND FOUR-YEAR TERM
AS THE COMMISSIONER REPRESENTING THE CITY'S FOURTH WARD.
DAVIS FORMERLY OWNED A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND LATER WORKED AS
A SALES REPRESENTATIVE FOR A BUILDING-SUPPLY BUSINESS.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE HIS WIFE, A DAUGHTER, A SON AND THREE
STEPCHILDREN.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE IS PLANNED FOR SATURDAY AT BAYSIDE CENTRE IN
MUSKEGON.
