Grand Rapids man dies while kayaking in Cheboygan County lake USA (wgvu) -
ALOHA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - The body of a 23-year-old Grand
Rapids man has been recovered from a lake in Cheboygan County.
Divers from the sheriff's department searched for more than 40
hours before retrieving the body.
Deputies say Stephen Wright drowned Sunday night in Aloha
Township's Long Lake after his kayak tipped over. Residents say
they heard Wright cry for help, but couldn't find him.
Authorities think alcohol played a role in the drowning.
