NUMBER OF STORES ACROSS THE COUNTRY THREATENED WITH BEING BLOWN UP
IF EMPLOYEES FAIL TO WIRE MONEY OVERSEAS.
POLICE SAY A CALLER ON MONDAY DIRECTED WORKERS AT HARDING'S
MARKET IN THE VAN BUREN COUNTY COMMUNITY OF BUCHANAN TO LOCK FRONT DOORS AND NOT CALL POLICE. EMPLOYEES WIRED $3,000.
AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING SIMILAR THREATS AT MORE
THAN 15 STORES IN AT LEAST 11 STATES IN THE PAST WEEK.
NO BOMBS HAVE BEEN FOUND.
