ELDERLY MAN BEATEN

(wgvu) - A 22-YEAR-OLD MAN CAUGHT ON VIDEO REPEATEDLY
PUNCHING A 91-YEAR-OLD MAN IN THE HEAD DURING A CARJACKING OUTSIDE
A DETROIT CONVENIENCE STORE HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO 15 TO 30 YEARS IN
PRISON.
DEONTE BRADLEY EARLIER PLEADED GUILTY TO CARJACKING AND NO
CONTEST TO ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO DO GREAT BODILY HARM IN THE
ATTACK ON LEONARD SIMS.
HE READ AN APOLOGY BEFORE BEING SENTENCED.
BRADLEY WAS ARRESTED MAY 10, SIX DAYS AFTER THE ATTACK ON SIMS.
A CONVENIENCE STORE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO SHOWING SIMS BEING
PUNCHED IN THE HEAD WAS BROADCAST REPEATEDLY ON LOCAL NEWS PROGRAMS
AND WEB SITES.
