Eastern Michigan University Raises Tuition
(2007-07-16)
(wgvu) - YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Eastern Michigan University will raise
tuition by about 9-point-5 percent for the upcoming school year.
But the university will not increase any mandatory fees, which
somewhat lessens the financial blow.
A typical full-time undergraduate student who is a state
resident will pay a little under 7 thousand, 5 hundred dollars in
tuition and fees next school year.
Several of Michigan's 15 public universities are raising rates
in similar fashion this year.
The increases are among the highest announced in the nation in
large part due to Michigan's state government budget problems.
