Chrysler Recall
(2007-07-03)
(wgvu) - Chrysler is recalling more than 80-thousand
2007 Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro sport utility vehicles because
of possible engine stalling.
Chrysler officials say the recall is necessary to reprogram a
power module that delivers electrical power to the instrument panel
and the engine.
They say the power interruption could lead to a short engine
stall.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been
investigating the Wrangler since May. Chrysler says it has received
about 180 complaints of engine stalling in Wrangler and Nitro
vehicles.
Chrysler says it will notify owners of the recall later this
week and the work will be completed at no cost.
