Record Sales for Toyota
vehicle sales jumped ten percent in the second quarter -- but the
Detroit Three have all reported sales declines.
Toyota says it sold nearly 246-thousand Toyota and Lexus
vehicles in June, compared with about 223-thousand a year ago.
General Motors says U-S light vehicle sales dipped more than 21
percent last month. Ford has reported an eight percent decline. And
DaimlerChrysler vehicle sales fell one-point-eight percent.
Nissan credits a redesigned Sentra to its nearly 23 percent June
increase. Honda sales rose more than eleven percent.
