(2007-07-03)
(wgvu) - THE NATION'S GOVERNORS ARE EXPECTED TO
DISCUSS IMMIGRATION ISSUES DURING THEIR ANNUAL MEETING IN NORTHERN
MICHIGAN LATER THIS MONTH.
THE NATIONAL GOVERNORS ASSOCIATION MEETS JULY 20TH THROUGH 23RD

THE MEETING FOLLOWS THE DEFEAT OF PRESIDENT BUSH'S IMMIGRATION
LEGISLATION IN THE U-S SENATE LAST WEEK.
GRAND TRAVERSE RESORT WAS SITE OF A RAID LAST YEAR THAT TURNED
UP 20 ILLEGAL FOREIGN WORKERS LAST YEAR.
IT'S IN GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY'S ACME TOWNSHIP, ABOUT FIVE MILES
EAST OF TRAVERSE CITY AND ABOUT 205 MILES NORTHWEST OF DETROIT.
