MISSING WOMAN SEARCH
(2007-06-25)
(wgvu) - BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A 37-year-old plumber accused of
slitting a woman's throat outside her home and dumping her body in
a lake has been arraigned on murder, kidnapping and larceny
charges.
Authorities are continuing to search Oakland County's Cass Lake
for Marilou Johnson, a mother of three from Macomb County.
A judge entered a not guilty plea today on behalf of David
Wright. He'll face a preliminary exam July third.
Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel says Wright had gone to
Johnson's Washington Township home on June 14th to give an estimate
for plumbing work and then attacked and robbed her.
Hackel says police have information substantiated by Wright that
the body was dumped in the lake.
