SISTER SLEUTHS
(2007-06-25)
(wgvu) - TWO WOMEN FACE CRIMINAL CHARGES
AFTER TWO SISTERS POOLED THEIR SLEUTHING ABILITIES AND APPREHENDED
A PAIR OF BIKINI-CLAD PURSE-SNATCHING SUSPECTS.
LISA DELADUNTAYE OF MACOMB TOWNSHIP AND JESSICA DORIE OF
STERLING HEIGHTS WERE ARRAIGNED TODAY ON CHARGES OF IDENTITY THEFT
AND POSSESSION OF A STOLEN CREDIT CARD.
POLICE SAY WEDNESDAY THE TWO WOMEN STOLE 23-YEAR-OLD CHRISTINA
FERRO'S PURSE AFTER STRIKING UP A POOLSIDE CONVERSATION AT A MACOMB
COUNTY APARTMENT COMPLEX.
A FED-UP FERRO SAYS SHE AND HER SISTER PURSUED THE SUSPECTS BY
TRACKING THEIR CREDIT CARD ACTIVITY. SHE SAYS THE SUSPECTS HAD
CHARGED ABOUT $800 FOR MAKEUP, THEN LATER TRIED TO
WITHDRAW $900 FROM HER SISTER'S BANK ACCOUNT.
THE SLEUTHING SISTERS CONFRONTED THE SUSPECTS AT A KROGER STORE,
APPREHENDING THEM UNTIL POLICE ARRIVED.
