ONE OF THE OLD BOBLO ISLAND EXCURSION BOATS WILL
ARRIVE TOMORROW IN TIME FOR THE DETROIT INTERNATIONAL RIVER DAYS.
THE STE. CLAIRE WILL DOCK AT TRICENTENNIAL STATE PARK FOR THE
START OF THE SIX-DAY CELEBRATION OF THE RENOVATED DETROIT
RIVERFRONT. A TUGBOAT WILL TOW THE BOAT FROM TOLEDO, OHIO.
VISITORS CAN WALK THROUGH IT, BUY SOUVENIRS AND BECOME PART OF
RENOVATION EFFORTS THAT WILL START THIS FALL.
THE OTHER BOAT, THE COLUMBIA, IS BEING RESTORED TO OPEN AS A
FLOATING MUSEUM ON THE HUDSON RIVER IN NEW YORK. THAT PROJECT IS
ABOUT TWO YEARS AWAY FROM COMPLETION.
