Granholm Poll USA (wgvu) - LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Governor Granholm's job approval rating is
the lowest it has ever been, a new poll shows.
In the survey of 600 likely voters, 66 percent gave the
Democratic governor a negative job rating. Her previous low mark
was a 59 percent negative rating in November, when she easily won
re-election for a second term.
The poll was conducted by EPIC-MRA of Lansing for The Detroit
News and W-X-Y-Z-T-V in Southfield. It had a sampling error margin
of plus or minus four percentage points.
Poll respondents said they still like the governor.
Fifty-two percent gave her an overall favorable rating, compared
with 42 percent unfavorable.
