A Detroit law firm says the Ypsilanti school violated federal
law by not adequately informing students and staff about the death
of 22-year-old Laura Dickinson
Butzel Long said Student Affairs Vice President Jim Vick
directed that an incident draft report on the case be shredded.
Vick says he took a lie detector last week to show he was
telling the truth. He says he wants to clear his name to get back
to work. Vick is on paid leave.
Meanwhile, the Southfield man accused in her Dickinson's death
will stand trial in October. Orange Taylor the Third is charged
with murder and criminal sexual conduct.
