(wgvu) - MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (AP) - A Macomb County jury has convicted a
woman of torturing her adopted eight-year-old twin daughters.
Tamika Williams faces up to life in prison after being convicted
of torture and first-degree child abuse.
Prosecutors say the Warren woman beat the girls with cable wire,
shoes and exercise equipment and bathed them in bleach water.
They say she also burned them with cigarettes and dunked them in
a toilet filled with urine.
Williams adopted them in 2005 from a foster care home.
A judge will sentence her July 12th.
