FOX NEWS APOLOGIZES TO CONGRESSMAN USA (wgvu) - NEW YORK (AP) - Fox News Channel apologized on-air again today
for mistakenly running tape of a Michigan congressman while
reporting on Louisiana Representative William Jefferson's
indictment on bribery charges.
Detroit Democrat John Conyers's picture aired while Fox anchors
talked Monday about Jefferson's indictment. Both congressmen are
black.
Conyers was reportedly upset that Fox's first apology yesterday
wasn't specific, and didn't mention he was the victim.
A Conyers spokeswoman had no comment about today's second
apology, which named the congressman.
