FLIGHT GOES DOWN
team members aboard a plane that went down in Lake Michigan
included two doctors, two organ transplant specialists and two
pilots.
Richard Chenault the second is one of the U-of-M's transplant
donation specialists. His 17-year-old stepson, Adrian, says his
stepfather was (-quote) "the best friend you could ever have."
The three other Michigan employees aboard were identified as
Doctor David Ashburn, a fellow in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery
... Doctor Martinus Spoor, a cardiac surgeon ... and Richard
Lapensee(LAP'-en-see), a donation specialist with the transplant
program.
Pilots Dennis Hoyes and Bill Serra were members of the staff of
Marlin Air, which flies Survival Flight airplane missions. The
aircraft was based at Willow Run Airport -- where it was headed
when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Milwaukee this afternoon
(Monday afternoon).
