FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A woman accused of taking part in a crime
spree resulting in the deaths of three people was sentenced today
to up to 75 years in prison for one slaying.
A Genesee County judge sentenced 20-year-old Samantha Bachynski
in the February 2006 killing of 52-year-old Winfield Johnson of
Vienna Township. She received 23 to 75 years.
She pleaded no contest last month to second-degree murder and
Bachynski was convicted in October of first-degree murder in the
slayings of a New Baltimore man and his pregnant wife. She later
received the mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.
Patrick Selepak is her co-defendant and former boyfriend. The
28-year-old pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in all three
slayings and is serving life without parole.
