DOZEN MEMBERS OF CONGRESS -- INCLUDING TWO HOUSE MEMBERS FROM
MICHIGAN -- IN A NEW AD CAMPAIGN.
THE GENERALS SAY POLITICIANS WHO SUPPORT PRESIDENT BUSH'S
POLICIES IN IRAQ CANNOT EXPECT TO WIN RE-ELECTION.
THEY'RE CHALLENGING BUSH'S ARGUMENT THAT HE LISTENS TO HIS
COMMANDERS ON THE GROUND IN IRAQ. AND THEY CONTEND THE PRESIDENT'S
IRAQ POLICIES ARE JEOPARDIZING U-S SECURITY.
THE GENERALS HAVE BEGUN A SIX-STATE PUBLICITY TOUR TARGETING
FOUR SENATORS AND NINE HOUSE MEMBERS, ALL REPUBLICANS.
THE HOUSE MEMBERS INCLUDE MIKE ROGERS OF BRIGHTON AND FRED UPTON
OF SAINT JOSEPH.
