FIRED DOW EXECUTIVE SUES USA (wgvu) - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A 37-year veteran of Dow Chemical is
suing the Midland company and its top executive for libel and
breach of contract.
J. Pedro Reinhard spent a decade as chief financial officer
before being fired as a senior adviser.
His lawsuit against Dow and C-E-O Andrew Liveris was filed in
federal court in New York.
Reinhard is seeking at least 75 (m) million dollars in damages.
Dow Chemical fired Reinhard and another executive after accusing
the two men of trying to negotiate a buyout deal without the
board's knowledge.
