FELL SEVEN-POINT-SIX PERCENT LAST MONTH TO ONE-POINT-34 (M)
MILLION.
APRIL IS NORMALLY WHEN SALES START TO RECOVER FROM THE WINTER
SLOWDOWN.
EVEN HOT-SELLING TOYOTA HAD A DECLINE FOR THE MONTH OF
FOUR-POINT-THREE PERCENT.
GENERAL MOTORS' SALES FELL NINE-POINT-FIVE PERCENT, AND FORD
SALES FELL 12-POINT-NINE PERCENT.
STRONG JEEP SALES HELPED CHRYSLER SALES RISE ONE-POINT-SIX
PERCENT FOR THE MONTH.
HONDA SALES FELL NINE-POINT-ONE PERCENT, AND NISSAN SALES FELL
18 PERCENT.
