SENIOR BIKER KILLED
(2007-05-01)
(wgvu) - ALLEGAN, Mich. (AP) - Robert Price went all over the place on
his Harley-Davidson bike -- even as he got old enough to be called
"Grandpa Bob."
Relatives say Price regularly attended big biker rallies held
each year in Daytona beach, Florida, and Sturgis, South Dakota.
The 85-year-old motorcycle enthusiast was killed Monday when his
bike crashed into a trailer while it was being towed near his
Allegan home.
His family is taking comfort that Price died while doing what he
loved.
They describe him as a World War Two veteran who was wounded
during fighting in Italy.
He worked as a welder who helped construct the Alaska pipeline
and was an outdoorsman who loved hunting.
