(wgvu) - MICHIGAN'S SEVEN SUPREME COURT JUSTICES ARE GIVING UP THEIR TAXPAYER-BOUGHT VEHICLES, AND THE CHIEF JUSTICE IS URGING OTHER APPELLATE JUDGES TO JOIN THEM AS THE STATE FACES A BUDGET DEFICIT.
SUPREME COURT CHIEF JUSTICE CLIFFORD TAYLOR ADDRESSED THE SUBJECT TODAY AT A JUDICIAL CONFERENCE IN DEARBORN.
TAYLOR IS ALSO CALLING ON THE LEGISLATURE TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF JUDGESHIPS.
SUPREME COURT JUSTICES, APPEALS JUDGES AND SOME OF THEIR STAFF MEMBERS GET VEHICLES THAT CAN BE DRIVEN FOR WORK AND PERSONAL USE.
