THREE AND A HALF YEARS AGO, GRANHOLM TRAVELED THE STATE ASKING
STUDIO AUDIENCES HOW THEY WOULD DEAL WITH A 920 MILLION DOLLAR
BUDGET DEFICIT.
THIS WEEK, THE DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR WILL START OFF HER SECOND
TERM DOING THE SAME.
THE STATE HAS A 900 MILLION DOLLAR HOLE IN ITS CURRENT
BUDGET AND FACES A DEFICIT OF MORE THAN ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN
THE NEW BUDGET YEAR.
GRANHOLM IS TELLING MICHIGAN RESIDENTS THAT A TAX HIKE IS NEEDED
TO REVITALIZE THE STATE.
THE GOVERNOR PLANS A BLITZ OF TELEVISED MEETINGS, HITTING FLINT,
DETROIT, GRAND RAPIDS AND LANSING ON FOUR CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS,
STARTING TONIGHT.
