GOV TO TOUR STATE
(2007-02-28)
(wgvu) - Governor Granholm will take to the road in a
series of town hall meetings to discuss Michigan's troubled economy
and the state's future.
Granholm will talk with citizens starting tomorrow in Traverse
City, the first of five televised meetings planned around the
state.
Spokeswoman Liz Boyd says the governor will discuss the
challenges Michigan faces and how it can improve. She's also
expected to discuss her proposal to balance the budget with a
two-percent tax on services.
Following Thursday's event, Granholm heads to Flint on Monday,
Detroit on Tuesday, Grand Rapids on March seventh and Lansing March
eighth.
