MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MEDICARE FRAUD
company has pleaded guilty today to Medicare fraud, a federal
charge.
The U-S attorney general's office says 59-year-old Iftakhar Khan
of Bloomfield Hills stole nearly 8-hundred-thousand dollars by
fraudulently billing Medicare.
He faces up to 30 months in prison.
Khan was president of Livonia-based Michigan Rehabilitation and
Pain Management. The company closed after the FBI and other
agencies raided it in 2000.
