(wgvu) - Police say a dispute between
siblings that may have centered on ownership of their father's home
in Macomb County ended in a murder-suicide.
Police found Karyn Chaney of Romulus bludgeoned to death with a
baseball bat and Gary Sise hanged yesterday afternoon in a home
near Mount Clemens.
Records show Chaney was appointed the executor of her father's
estate after his death in 2001. Neighbors say she was helping her
brother renovate the home while he lived there in preparation for
selling it.
Police and neighbors say Chaney's seven-year-old grandson ran to
a neighbor and told her his great-uncle was choking his
grandmother. A second neighbor returned to the home to find Sise
hanging in a stairwell.
